Alisha WolfAlisha is the director of Education and Training. She designs and oversees pre-adoption training, continuing parent education, and professional training in the community. She received her bachelors from Skidmore College in English and Spanish and her Masters in Social Work in Maternal and Child Health from UNC Chapel Hill. During her graduate studies, Alisha focused on issues surrounding adoption, foster care, and early childhood mental health. Alisha enjoys yoga, reading Oprah Magazine, and spending time with her husband and their cat, Tom Berenger.

Cynthia has over 18 years of experience dedicated to serving children and families through her work with non-profits and county government agencies. Her passion and areas of interest focus on transracial/ transcultural adoptive families, birth parents, search and reunion, and youth aging out of the foster care system. Cynthia completed an advanced adoption training program- (TAC) Training in Adoption Competency and has provided trainings nationally and internationally on numerous adoption topics. Cynthia and her wife are parents by adoption of two children.

Carey has years of experience as an adoption specialist, providing psychotherapy to families, teens, and youth. She is a Nationally Rostered Child Parent Psychotherapy Clinician and Supervisor, with over 15 years as a training professional in clinical and corporate settings. Carey is both an adoptee and an adoptive mother of two. Carey is passionate about working with those who have created their families through foster care and international adoption.

Erica has been part of the Adoptions Together team for 20 years. Her specialty is supporting families to achieve permanency. As a Master Clinical Trainer and Coach she facilitates workshops and support groups for parents and professionals nationally and internationally. Her core topics of interest include trauma, attachment, FASD, mindfulness, open adoption, stress management, and grief and loss.

Adoption Specialist
Angela is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Trauma Systems Therapy. She also holds a certificate of completion in a unique therapeutic model, ALERT, which focuses on decreasing emotional and behavioral dysregulation in children with sensory processing issues. Angela specializes in working with complex trauma, anxiety, family conflict, attachments, and children with special needs.

Alexandra (Allie) Perez, LGSW

Adoption Specialist
Allie applies her knowledge of neurobiology, child development, attachment, mindfulness practices, and the lifelong process of adoption to provide support for adoptive and pre-adoptive families. Allie has particular expertise in theraplay, sand therapy, and other expressive therapy techniques. Allie is working toward becoming a Nationally Rostered Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) clinician, serving children under age 5 with any experience of trauma.
