Older Child Adoption Training

AdoptionWorks Training, 27 hours

AdoptionWorks is Adoption Together’s older child adoption program that facilitates the placement of children of all ages who are growing up in the public foster care system throughout the country. In this training, families prepare to parent children with emotional challenges through a specialized program designed for parents who are considering adopting a school-aged child. This training is focused on developing awareness in the prospective parent while teaching effective parenting strategies. The 27-hour course is split into different classes. The trainings are held on Wednesday’s from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm and/or Saturday’s from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm in our Baltimore Office, unless otherwise stated.

  • July/August Session: Wednesday 7/11; Saturday 7/14; Wednesday 7/18; Saturday 7/21; Wednesday 7/25; Wednesday 8/8; Wednesday 8/15; Wednesday 8/22
  • October/November Session: Saturday 10/13; Saturday 10/20; Saturday 10/27; Saturday 11/3; Saturday 11/10
